As many of you will have seen this morning, speculation has already started linking players to the club with All Black second row Chris Jack a name appearing in the Daily Mail.

Farrell to make debut start against Tigers...

Andy Farrell Starts for Saracens Vs Leicester Andy Farrell comes into the Saracens starting line up in the inside centre position for Sunday’s Guinness Premiership clash against Leicester Tigers at Vicarage Road, kick off 3pm.

It will be the former Great Britain Rugby League captain’s first start at centre and he is one of six changes in the starting XV for the match which promises to be yet another in the series of close encounters between the two sides at Vicarage Road. The game ended 19-19 three years ago with Saracens then getting the better of the Tigers 19-17 in the 2004/05 season. Last year the Tigers were 13-12 winners – so what will the score be on Sunday?

Saracens Johnston to join up with England squad...

Saracen Ben Johnston Saracens centre Ben Johnston has been invited to join up with the England training squad to prepare for Saturday’s Investec Challenge match against Argentina at Twickenham.

It’s a great present for Johnston who will join up with the rest of the squad on Tuesday – just one day short of his 28th birthday. The centre captained England Saxons in the Churchill Cup this summer and has two full caps to his name which he won in 2002 in matches against Argentina and New Zealand.

Andy Farrell to play Centre Against Springboks

Farrell to play Centre for world xvAndy Farrell and Fabio Ongaro have both been released to play for the World XV when they meet South Africa at the Walkers Stadium on Sunday 3rd December, kick off 3pm.

Although Saracens are in action two days earlier against Wasps in the EDF Energy Cup at Vicarage Road, Director of Rugby Alan Gaffney felt that with the current strength in depth at the club, both players would benefit greatly from the match against the Springboks which marks the end of their Autumn test tour.

Hill returns to action in victory for the A-Team

Richard HillRichard Hill returned to action on Monday night as he played 40 minutes in Saracens A-Team’s 43-12 victory over Northampton Saints.

After a 16-month absence through a knee injury, Hill came through the game unscathed and it didn’t take him long to stamp his authority on the game.

The match was just seconds old when Northampton were penalised in the centre of field for holding on and no guesses were needed as to who was at the bottom of the ruck as the pile of players got to their feet!

Hill sets Monday date for comeback...

Richard Hll Come BackRichard Hill is set to make his long-awaited comeback from injury in the Saracens A-team against Northampton Saints on Monday night.

Hill is also expected to be joined by Thomas Castaignede in the team for the game at Old Albanians RFC, kick off 7.30pm. Castaignede has been limited to just a cameo appearance as a replacement against Newcastle Falcons this season because of a calf injury.

For flanker Hill, it marks the end of a 16-month spell out of the game following the knee reconstruction surgery he required after being injured in the opening test match of the British and Irish Lions tour to New Zealand last year. Of course, Hill had only just returned from similar surgery that ruled him out for much of the 2004/05 season in a two year-spell that has seen him make just 12 appearances for the Men In Black.
