It is with deep regret that the club has been made aware of the death of Bryan O’Regan, known to all affectionately as “Tiger”. He had been ill for about two years with Motor Neurones disease, but passed away at St Christopher’s Hospice , Sydenham in the early hours of Monday 23rd January 2006. The date of the funeral will be held on Tuesday, 21st February at the West Herts. Crematorium, Watford at 3.00pm. The arrangements are for departure from Watford Rugby Club about 40 minutes before then, so if all members attending the funeral please meet at the club at 2.00 p.m. The funeral Directors are Hemley Funeral Service, 26 Park Road, Bushey, WD23 3EQ and it will be possible to view the body by prior arrangement. Bryan’s family from Ireland will plan to do this on the morning of the 21st. Bryan had asked that we hold a reception at the club and this will be arranged very soon. It is appreciated that a lot of new members would have joined the club in the last two years and may not have known Bryan. To those people I say please come along, Bryan would have welcomed everyone as often he did. If you are unable to attend the funeral please come along to the reception at the club after.
