Evening All.

The first time this season numbers tonight at training dropped to an unacceptable level.

The work that has been put in by all up to now has been fantastic and we are really starting to see the benefit in the way we are playing, the fitness levels throughout the club and the results that are going our way.

So why are some of you starting to take your foot off the gas?

I understand that some people have genuine reasons not to train but with competition running high for selection in first and second teams, myself and Andy in future will start to show preference to those who train.

To put it simply if you train you have a stronger chance of being selected, If you don’t you might not be asked to play or start games on the bench.

To carry on our recent success we have to push ourselves harder than ever, we are playing no were near our potential in any of the teams.
The club, the Squad know that we have great chances in both leagues to do very well, but if we don’t train together we are just throwing the opportunity for success away.

We have two massive league games Saturday and now we only have half the training time available to us to prepare for the matches.
I should not have to stress how important training Thursday is and I expect to see you all playing at the weekend there.

Also….being injured is not an excuse to skip out on training all together, you can always come down and show your support and help out with the session. Your still part of the team when your injured!!!

Rick.

Well said Rick - in previous seasons 17 would have been considered excellent numbers. Given that thanks to a highly successful recruitment drive we have near enough 60 registered players, 17 is now unacceptable.

Massive thanks to those injured lads who did come training last night and took it upon themselves to do extra fitness once the contact began. Kudos. Excellent attitude and it was certainly noted by Andy and Ricky.

A big thank you to those 17 who were training last night, the effort and commitment shown throughout the session, especially during the fitness was superb. More of the same!

Big thanks to all of you that made the effort to attend training on Tuesday and tonight, it was most appreciated. Especially tonight, we got a lot of worth while work done to take into the weekends fixtures.

For those of you that did not attend training this week beware I’m coming to hunt you down, so have your excuses ready.

See you over the weekend, Rick.
