Afternoon gentlemen,

Yet again we have had a fantastic win in terms of points scored, even better that we did it in a local derby.  We played some good rugby, taking our chances and sticking to our game plan.

However, we were by no means perfect.  The ref told us at the start of the game that NO talking to him was allowed by anyone except myself and Sedge.  Poor discipline resulted in them getting far too many penalties when they were within a dangerous distance not only of the tryline, but also in terms of turning the game around.  Some soft tackling in the opening moments also almost led to us going down by more than 3 points.

To reiterate, we play from the first kick of the game to the last play, we do not need to let through points to realise that we are playing!

Coming up is when we are going to be truly tested by those who are above us in the league.  We need to get down training, work hard and improve upon our performance time and time again until these results show us conceding nothing.

Not to take anything away from what was a sterling performance, but i believe we have more to give on that pitch and I personally cannot wait to see it.

See you at training Tuesday and Thursday, as usual let me or Ricky know if you cannot make it.

Watford 2’s Antlers/Stags,

Just to back up my captain,

the negatives were the talking back to the ref, honestly lads, even if we think the decision is wrong we got to keep quiet, luckily this isnt a regular occurence, but we all know on that game it could have cost us dearly.

On the positives, tackling was made by all (it took us almost conceding but just shows the difference to a game), we had our heads switched on pretty much from the start (again another game changer), when asked to up the intensity, you all did as asked, we let our foot off the gas for about ten mins which put us in our own half for a bit, but overall I couldnt be more pleased with everyones efforts on the pitch!

Wats, training/fitness counts for everything in our leagues, what we give in training gets paid back on a Saturday!

Ma boyz did good, onwards and upwards!
