As discussed at the players meeting, this years recruitment drive will be this Saturday (16th July). We will be meeting at ‘The Moon under Water’, for 12 p.m. If you own any, please wear Watford branded kit. There will be a similar format to last year; we will split into groups and head to various bars, pubs and shops asking to put a few posters up whilst handing flyers out to likely looking passers by.
A few things to remember -
- We are represnting the whole club. Whilst wearing WRFC kit and giving out WRFC leaflets, please be polite, respectful and courteous at all times.
- Do not put posters up without the prior consent of the establishment.
- By all means have a drink in each pub you head to (it would be rude not to!), but try not to get too distracted until the job is done.
- Refer to point one. We are recruiting for the juniors as well as the seniors- 30 lads boozed up in the town centre during the middle of the day will more than likely do more harm than good in terms of recruitment. Hold of starting the heavy sessions until we are safely tucked away in some establishment of ill repute.
Every little helps - even if you can only spare an hour it would be greatly appreciated.
In order to sustain our new facilities, it is crucial that we get more members. Remember, we want to be running a regular third team by the end of the season and this will go some way to helping us acheive that goal.
