Squad spends time with local clubs

Last night 34 Saracens Players spent time visiting 17 Saracens Partner Clubs.

The player appearances were an opportunity for the players to work with junior sides throughout the community and support the delivery coaches at Saracens partner clubs.

With the likes of Andy Farrell at Old Albanian RFC, Steve Borthwick at Fullerians RFC, Wikus Van Heerden at Chess Valley RFC and both Glen Jackson and Kevin Sorrell at Saracens Amateurs RFC, there was an abundance of experience and talent passing on advice and coaching tips to young players throughout Hertfordshire, Essex, Middlesex and Cambridgeshire.

The player visits are part of the Saracen Club Partnership Programme and is first of three visits the squad will make to clubs this season.

The visits provide an opportunity for the players to work closely with the supporters of the club as well as helping to develop young talent throughout the region.

Having the ability to pass on the tips they have received from international and premiership experience is a real unique opportunity for children involved at these clubs.

The next whole squad visit is taking place on Sunday 22nd February and will see different players visiting partner clubs to work with the minis section of the clubs.

For further information on how you can get involved and receive player visits to your club please call 01727 792 807.
