Nice to see that you are keeping yourself busy young James....Glad I don't drive a Beemer (not that I could afford one anyway!!), I'd never be able to order a part 'cause the parts manager is busy giving inspirational advice on the Wats site!!! Smiley

Who's the lovely ladies in your new Pic then?

Yeah I know I'm very odd. It's a Mark One Tank (male) from circa 1916-18. Armed with two, four pounder ex naval pieces in side sponsons and four .303 inch Lewis machine guns...

JUST FOR NELLIE

MARK 1
A rhomboid shaped vehicle with a low centre of gravity and long track length able to grip muddy ground and cross trenches. Sponsons (also called "barbettes") on the hull sides carried two Naval 6-pounder guns. There were two Hotchkiss machine guns in the sponsons and two removable guns for the front and back.

Unlike the wwII American version favoured by the Band of Brothers

THE SHERMAN
Early models of the Sherman were fitted with a 75 mm low-velocity gun, which fired an effective HE shell, but whose limited anti-armour performance became more marked as enemy tanks evolved. Later American Shermans--the M4A1 76(w), M4A2 76(w) and M4A3 76(w) models--were fitted with a 76 mm gun with improved anti-tank performance. The final WWII Sherman was the M4A4, although the M4A3E8 76(w) HVSS "Easy Eight" is generally regarded as the best of the production line, and equaled the Soviet T-34/85 in terms of anti-tank capability.

Dear me! I'm letting my high standards slip. I'll have to spend my Friday evening swatting up on my early mechanical warfare knowledge.
