Womens Cancer Research UK - Race for Life.
« on: March 10, 2006, 04:46:30 PM »

Hello,

My name is Rebecca Carey and I am the race organiser for the women's only 5km walk/run fundraising 'Race for Life' event that is taking place on 02nd July at Cassiobury Park. As you may be aware, this is a fantastic event to raise money for Cancer Research UK to help fund research into treatment, cures and preventions for all cancers. These events could not be put on though without the help of volunteers and that is why I have contacted you!
It would be great if a team of you would be happy to come along and help out on the day, with the set up, managing the course, finish funnels, crowd control etc. It would be a great promotion for your team, with recognition by all the local media and would be appreciatted more than you will ever know. I know that all the women taking part will love it too!
Please let me know if this is something that you would be interested in doing and I will be happy to provide you with more info. You will be very well looked after and fed and watered to!
If you could let me know either way, that would be great! Thanks! x

From what has been written, it seems that all we have to do is get a team of people to assist in whatever way they want us to. Would be good PR for the club, so lets get together gents. Any takers?

Watching naked women jogging......but it's a good cause so we should do it even if they're dressed !!!  I'm not working on that day so count me in, don't let Butch anywhere near the cheche !!!!

Has anyone e-mailed Rebecca to offer our assistance or are we just trying to gauge numbers at this point Huh

Cool

I am happy to help.

Perhaps we should host a watering station (wet t-shirt?) or we could use our skills and knowledge of muscle fatigue etc to offer a massage service (selected women only!)

Perhaps someone should e-mail Rebecca and let her know that we will be able to supply some bodies and find out what she would like us to do?
