Lets go on tour again !!!!

Well it's that time of year again, but this year it's different !!! You have to be a RFU registered player with Watford RFC to play for the club this year; no membership, no registration; no registration, no insurance to play. The club no longer pay for the insurance of the players, from this year the RFU will be stopping club grants but paying for various insurance policies that the club previously had to pick up....bottom line....no pay....no play !!!! It was decided by the Club executive Committee that membership prices should stay the same as last year so here goes: Full Playing Member - £50 Unemployed/Student/Homeless/Mikey - £25 Coaches - £0 Life members - £0 I will be collecting membership for these starting at training tonight 22 Jun and then every training session I'm at. Also when the club is open for anything else....beware...it is not worth the hounding you will get for not paying so cough up sonest and we'll be able to use the money to enhance your general club experience !!!! Sue Menzies will be collecting memberships for the Midi/Mini Section and their prices are as follows: Family Membership - £25 and an additional £5 for each additional child in family. Parent Coach - £5 If you have any enquiries please contact me, if you have any complaints I'm unavailable.  |

No8, i have been asked to ask what we get for our£50 membership fee, and i have to be honest i am not entirley sure??? Pretty poor show i know so could you just clarify what we get for our money?  |

You get to play rugby for Watford RFC....do you need another reason  ? Are you thinking of retiring...if so then you may consider a social membership!!! From a treasurers point of view, with the loss of the RFU subsidies which totalled over £1200, we will be using the money raised from membership fee's to pay for everything that the grant used to. i.e. new training balls @ £225 etc etc etc and various costs incurred with the ground. |

No8, no thoughts of retirement just yet so will be paying the full fee, but was just unsure what the money is used for. Thank you for your wise comments so far though! |

Lads, I'm back from sunnier climbs and there only appears to be approx 17 members. I'll be at the club tomorrow getting annual subs off all including the seconds !!!!! If you're not a member, you can't play in this league.......I'm willing to do payments !!!!! |

A quick stocktake of members has revealed we still only have 23 and not all those are fully paid up. Unless you are a paid up member you are not insured with the RFU plus the club cannot afforfd the liaibility of playing non members if you get injurred. If you can't afford the payment, I'll accept installments...bottom line NO PAY.......NO PLAY !!!! If you have any problems with this, see the club treasurer |
