Tesco vouchers for CLUBS and schools
« on: September 22, 2006, 04:57:55 PM »

It now appears we can use tesco vouchers to get equipment and coaching for our club... This seems like a good idea, especially for the youth teams... should we do this or people think it would be a waste of time?

The amount of vouchers needed for the smallest piece of equipment is so many its not worth the effort.

TESCO just want you to shop at their store, don't get sucked in.

Yeah if you look @ the website you need to collect loads of vouchers for little reward Undecided Undecided
But if every one makes the effort it could gather some momentum Smiley Smiley

you are all right, Tesco would not do it unless they were profitting out of it!!!

However, we all have to do weekly / monthly food shopping, so why not try and get something back for the club for it..Huh And if you get all your friends and families to help out too, who can complain... but hey, it is a lot of effort... And effort is all ti needs

For those of us with children whose school collect these vouchers you will be aware that the more people that give their vouchers the school benefits. Sounds like your issue is with Tescos itself Brendan, but for those that shop there anyway how much effort is it to take the vouchers to the club or just make people aware that if they don't want theirs we will take them. Been taking my money for years.

I think it is a great idea if we try to collect these vouchers, but we should make a resolution that if we don't get enough we donate them to a local school.

I'm just being realistic.

Maybe we should use an alternative approach and speak to schools to see if they'll donate their vouchers to the club Huh

Cool

Jamie

You work at a school, you could raid the donations made to the school and re-direct them to the club.

Anyway - who is going to take my two vouchers before I give them to my child's school for them to get a tennis ball!!!!

Here's a novel idea for you Brendan, why don't you keep the vouchers, bring them to the club on Saturday, assuming that you are not going to make training, and deposit the said vouchers into and envelope/collection box? Roll Eyes
