Other results from Saturday:

Hendon 5 Old Millhillians 13
Old Grammerians 6 Old Streetonians 12
Old Tottonians 11 Watford 0

This now leaves possible 4 teams fighting to avoid the last relegation spot! Let's make sure that it's not going to be us Angry

2nd's lost 34-12 away at Stevenage. Despite the score a good performance as we played the last quarter with 14 men and conceded what seemed about 20 stone in the pack. This was by some distance the youngest Watford (or any side) that I have ever played in, unbelievably me and Adam Creed were by some distance the old boys of the side.

Sailor and Stuart (don't know second name) scored the well deserved tries.

There was so much potential, pace and enthusiasm in that side, lets all work together to get the few old heads it needs (particularly in the tight five) and they could really progress.

I think it was Creedy who missed after my try and Evens converted Sailor's try.

I can't make training tomorrow but I shall be there on Thurs!

Lads

Well done to the 2nds, sounds like a good effort against tough opposition! Well done also to the 1st, Saturday was a frustrating day all round. The team put in a huge effort, especially in the last 20 and never gave up. Areas to work on are starting well, discipline and playing to the ref, first phase and work rate both in defence and attack. The backs looked threatening the whole game and when the forwards picked and drove in the 2nd half we looked good. I believe that in better conditions and after a few more sessions we can play attacking, high tempo, winning rugby! However, we all need to be fitter, especially up front for this to happen!

I look forward to seeing you all on Tuesday. The session will include contact skills, especially rucking, fringe defence, patterns of play and first phase work.

See you soon
