Hi, Could we ask for your clubs help? I'm the newly elected councillor for the Tudor Ward and with Hugh O'Hannolon, we are organizing a clean up day with the parks team for Sunday July 22. We will meet up at the Rugby club from 10am til about 1. The parks people will provide gloves, litter pickers, bins and all equipment required for a clean up starting at the club and working around the fields and into the river/lake area. 1.Could we put up some notices in your club asking for volunteers? 2. Could we have access to your toilet facilities on the morning? 3. Could we meet up and discuss your clubs needs/problems prior to the 22? 4. The long term strategy is to form a "Friends of Knutsford Playing fields" and we would like your clubs involvement. We can do this by email or if you prefer, please call me on 01923 606286 and leave me your contact details. Yours Councillor Kelly Mcleod

It's good to get invovlved with locals to show how we care about our local enviroment. But please do'nt think we really are that niave by a coucillor who reckons they are now are new saviour, when has one of them had the power, done anything, mentioned anything regarding the club, i know hugh o'hanolon personaly, but he has talked bollocks about what he will do for our clubs needs. By all means help and if I'm free i will help clean up the park, but stop dangling a carrot that's not there....
PS I am having a good day at work thanks for asking...

Regardless of the councillors intent, this a good opo to get the locals into the club and then maybe they won't complain in future and even come down and watch a few games and spend a bit of money. a good show by ourselves would show we actually care about where we play and the wider community. lets not miss an opo like this and i suggest the commity sort something out for the day. and make sure the club house is spottless. just my thoughts

Is that the second thought this year!
I agree that we should, no matter what ulterior motives there may be, get involved with this. If anything it is yet another opportunity to open the club and have a nice social drink!
Matt, can we do this?
