Interesting Scenario
« on: August 01, 2007, 04:22:28 PM »

season starts soon, 8 train tuesday of which 2 are new guys the other is colin back from long term injury.

Here's the scenario we are playing next season in Herts div 3 North. Will you still be playing or moaning about the standard of rugby and wondering who will be standing as captain or coach, though we all will look pretty in our stash gear....

As for 2nd team will you keep turning up for a game and there is not a side and go off to join whoever 6th team to play regular rugby.

I dont want reply's as I cannot be asked for them...But maybe we should ALL get up and do something, answers on a postage stamp and send it to yourself

Gents, it seems that Mr Bridge has a very valid and worrying point. I know that i can't preach too much as i have been absent the past 7 weeks, although those that know me know the reason why. I will be back in the country next week and down training, will you?

If not we will be the best kitted out team in the crapiest of leagues, that we worked our socks off to get out of. Doesn't sound too appealing really does it....... Angry

Don't get me started....I thought a long time before deciding to add my thoughts and will try to keep it positive as possible.

Time is running out, but there is still time. We need bodies down training, that is people who expect to play regularly this season. If not, then yes we will be well dressed in a poor league.

We've got a coach who wants to give his all to the club, but cannot because he's got not a lot to work with at training and that is pissing him off.

We've got a captain who loves the club and the game but coming to the end of his teather before the first game has even started.

Please can you all make an effort to get down to training. I know that some of you are off on holiday, going to weddings in SA, are busy with work, are injured, but that's not all of you and you can still pop down if your injured, see how things are going and give me an update.

See you later on lads.

I've been out of practice for a while and am still taking it easy until I'm sure I'm fit again and nothing will break off.

Been to training on Tuesday nights a few time and  have enjoyed them lots, also noticed how quickly my skill level has dropped and how important practice is. But Thursday with Carlton is the main event and we all need to get there,

It is the same faces making the effort all the time and they are not the ones that bitch an moan either.

Gary, I don't see you as bitching of the 3 sessions I've made you've have been there, your one of ones making an effort.
It's the buggers that never train that bitch and moan during the season.

Perhaps you misunderstood my mail.

lets not bitch and moan just get it sorted. most of the posts are from people who do train.
ITS THE PLAYERS THAT DONT TRAIN WHO NEED TO BE BITCHED AND MOANED AT.

Im sort of an outspoken person so im going to duck after I say this and just hope that im seen as attempting to be constructive rather than a dick...

... I dont learn much just playing touch.  Lets get on with a good beasting session of hard fitness, a variety of ball skills and some tackle practice.  Makes things interesting and certainly what im looking for when I go to practice.  Just look at the numbers we had at training when we were doing that with Mr Ian at the helm.

Too right Scotty! But we cannot do this unless we get the numbers down to training. You will not gain anything from have four on four full contact...
