Dinner and dance
« on: February 18, 2008, 01:43:54 PM »

With the end of the season approaching I was wondering if there was any news on this year's dinner and dance?!  Even if we had some idea of the date it would be good so people could get it in their diarys?

Gents

The Club Card gives the date for our 35th Anniversary DD as the 7th June 2008.

Were these cards not given out to our senior members?

Gents

I can only apologise.

I had 200 printed, all paid up members were to get one.

The Junior Mini members got theirs.

I am sorry.

It annoys me as I spent so much time on delivering this card this year and I thought it was the best yet, next year maybe.

Anyway the DD is scheduled for 7th June 2008 - that is unless they have changed the date!!!

The club cards were made available to all and there remains  a stock behind the bar.

If you would like another copy please let me know and I will supply one to you.

They are very well done, thank you Brendan, and a lot of them have been handed out.

Perhaps we should re issue to all of our players, as it seems that some of you do not know it is Rugby season and have booked holidays, jollies etc meaning that you are not available to play RUGBY.

just to put my oar in, i haven't got one and don't know any senior play who has got one. i presume they should have been given out when we signed on this year? Or where they just given out on a particular day? why is it all the juniors have got these cards and not the seniors? if someone takes the effort to do these then they should be given out. Or was it announced at some random moment. sorry but stuff like this really ticks me off!! Huh

just and example of the seniors playing second fiddle to everything else at the club. things like this is part the reason were struggling for numbers. we need the commitee to take charge of whats going on and the seniors need to be informed of all events that happen regarding the club, or is it just me. yes i am in a foul mood Angry

Creedy

Don't start bleating on about how hard done you seniors are.

Why don't some of you take ownership and do something for the club.

Which senior member is involved with the Dinner Dance organisation? - none

Which senior member, well shall we ask which paid up senior member, because if your not fully paid up you arn't a member, takes responsibility for cleaning up the kitchen on a Saturday afternoon after the food has been served? None

Which senior member ensures that those that don't pay their weekly subs are made to pay their subs?

Which senior members take the club for granted?

Shall I go on.....
