as some of you might have seen my dynamic subs performance on sat. i would like to dispel the myth that me and my little bro are indeed unbreakable. after 4 hours in a and e yes four hours i was told i have a grade 2 separation of the ac joint with the certain likelihood of it being grade 3 and possible fracture as well. could i phone wgh monday morning to book further xrays to confirm seriousness of injury. i was then given a sling and sent home. 24 hours later no appointment and i look like quasimodo without the sling! love the nhs

Mr Wilson
You have my sympathy as I did my AC right AC joint some years ago and also split my clevical, which was pinned back together. It takes time but you will recover and play again.
When you rest your hand on it and twist your shoulder joint it will feel like a load of rubber bands being rubbed together. It does get better. Mine still feels like a bunch of rubber bands.
I think I saw a Mr Bellamy at WGH, he was good, talked me out of having an operation.
I don't know how bad your is but it sounds nasty but be assured you will recover, it took me some three months. Go to physio they will give you some great exercises with bake bean tins.
All the best - do not loose heart it not as bad as it feels.

Making backs look good since 71

I thought you were made of rubber and that is how come you never got hurt.
I smashed my A/C and shoulder pretty bad about 8 years ago,a prop and a 2nd row had a fight and fell on top of it, like you it was the end of the season and I was back playing for the start of next season after some phiso and building up doing light weights Whig really helped.
It took me about a month before I could lift my arm above my head and it still make some great grinding noises.
Hope to see your war wounds on Saturday.

Just to join in, i did mine to when i was 17 - was streaking down the line before being tap tackled by a scrum half and falling on the ball - not at all manly or heroic! Mine still aches in the cold the best part of five years later, something for you to look forward to!
