My understanding is that to change criteria to roles of the exec would require it being passed by the membership, therefore if this is wanted it would need to be brought as a proposal to the AGM and voted upon by the membership. Otherwise nominees for the post could not be excluded on the grounds that they are still a playing member.

I will try to get to the club tonight, but had another operation on my leg yesterday.

Sorry I had to cut the phone call yesterday, you caught me about 10 mins after I came around from op, and I was feeling a bit Crap.
Hope to get a run out next season, depending if they have sorted my leg now.

Anyway he is Club / 1st Team Captain for this coming season.

I'd just like to say a big well done to everyone who was voted into a position last night. Good luck for the comming season.
And Good effort to all those who stood for positions and didn't get them.
Lets take this club forward together with our new committee and officers, lets all have a rest from rugby for a little while and come back after the summer break ready to put in the hard work both on and off the field. Lets make this club reach even higher.

Mandy, thanks for that, congratulations to the new committee and good luck for next season.
To the rest of you, just a quick point. I noticed a lot of speculation and opinions floating around when I was back last week(ish). Now you have voted a committee to take the club forward, you can stop the bitching, put your personal feelings aside and support them the best way you can. You have a lot of big issues to resolve before letting the petty ones get in the way, i.e. a new clubhouse, winning next season I would suggest are the main ones !!!
