Season Starts here.
« on: May 18, 2008, 10:11:38 AM »

Lads

Just had the Fixtures for nest season:

Rd 1 Junior Vase 6th September - Opponents to be Advised

1st League game 13th September - Hackney.

I know it seems a long way off but we need to be fit this season so we need to get down to some serious training and fitness work ASAP, lets hit the ground running this season.

What fantastic news! The seasons not too far away, so forget all of the end of season blues and plan for the next.

Whilst we are having a short break from the enjoyable pain of playing, we will be having a little touch session as mates on a Thursdays but this will not be enough to maintain our peak fitness levels!

Now is the time to start building your stamina and building those muscles.

I pledge to lose 20 kilos by the start of the season. ( I am 155 now! Kilos, not age!I know, fat git!)

I also pledge to go running three times a week.

I do not want our team to fade out of games as we did last year. Our promotion was on the back of a great level of fitness all round. We let this slip last year and I do not want it to happen again.

Do not be the man who finishes behind me, you will NEVER live it down.

Look at yourself, know your weakness and work on it. Also know your strength and work on that too.

Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of THEIR CLUB!

You play rugby for the enjoyment. Winning always adds to it
